Cloud email security and productivity solution provider Zix announces Secure Cloud, a suite of productivity, security and compliance applications designed to help MSPs deliver a "secure modern workplace."

According to the company, the push to expand the enterprise IT landscape has left organisations with fragmented tech stacks, poorly integrated software and duplicate data sources, leading to an inconsistent user experience. The acceleration of modernisation efforts brought about by the coronavirus pandemic has only further exacerbated the issue. Enter Secure Cloud, a package promising to not only manage risk and compliance, but also accelerate innovation and confidence.

Hall Research launches the EX-4KU, a kit consisting of a single-gang wall plate HDBaseT transmitter and a receiver designed to extend 4K HDMI video and USB data over a single UTP cable.

The kit uses HDBaseT 2.0 technology, and the company claims it extends video and USB with zero latency and no compression. The wall plate transmitter provides an HDMI input with a USB port for connection to a PC or Mac. It supports all PC and HDTV resolutions, up to and including 4K UHD (3840 x 2160). The wall plate also provides two USB charing ports, and the extender supports all USB 1.1 and 2.0 devices such as as keyboards, mice, touchscreens, interactive whiteboards and cameras.

Extron announces a partnership with Lenovo to create scalable meeting solutions, bringing Extron AV control capabilities to the Lenovo ThinkSmart Tiny and ThinkSmart Hub conferencing solutions.

The team up sees the integration of room automation, audio and signal extension with Lenovo ThinkSmart, Microsoft Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms solutions, providing complete AV and conferencing control across the enterprise. The solution, the two companies claim, allow users to control call volume for the room and send commands to trigger automation events for display control, shades and lighting via simple tap on the ThinkSmart Hub display.

Cisco commits to helping customers and partners mitigate the financial challenges brought about by current pandemic with the introduction of a Business Resilience Program offering $2.5 billion in financing.

The Business Resilience Program includes an up-front 90-day payment holiday, and allows customers to defer 95% of the cost of a new product or solution until 2021, protecting business and increasing cash flow. Customers start making monthly payments from January 2021, as based on the total financed amount and the remaining term of the financing. All Cisco solutions are eligible for the program, including hardware, software and services, as well as up to 5% of partner provided services such as installation.
