Dell'Oro Group predicts the WLAN market will reach over $8Bn in revenues by 2015, with a 49% increase over 2010-- with the enterprise segment being its fastest growing.
The enterprise WLAN segment should reach $3.9Bn in revenues by 2015, reaching second-highest revenues within the market.
Such rapid growth is due to the equally large growth in wifi enabled device numbers, as 802.11n technology continues driving the market.
The small office/home office (SOHO) segment will account for the majority of revenue-- reaching nearly $4Bn by 2015 according to Dell'Oro, thanks to the huge growth in broadband CPE with WLAN and wireless routers.
