Barco follows on the 2019 launch of the premium XT series and the strategic partnership with Chinese LED manufacturer maker Unilumin by expanding its LED portfolio with five new models at ISE 2020.

Barco LED ISE

The XT series narrow pitch pixel LED tiles are designed as high-end LEDs. Barco says it has mechanically optimised the Unilumin hardware for seamless viewing before adding Infinipix, a proprietary LED image processing solution. While the new XT-E and XT-HB are similar, they meet the variable needs of the targeted core segments, namely control rooms, TV studios, meeting rooms and 3D visualisation.

The entry-level XT-E platform offers tiles with 1.2, 1.5 and 1.9mm pixel pitch, allowing access to Barco products to LED projects without need for high brightness or advanced features. The entry-level range is still designed according to consistent Barco quality levels, with careful selection of alternative LEDs.

Meanwhile the XT-HB range features brightness levels reaching up to 1500 nits, bringing high-brightness LEDs to applications in full daylight and environments with a high amount of ambient light. The series has two models with higher pixel pitches, the XT1.9-HB and XT2.5-HB, and is also ideally suited for viewing from longer distances and setups where narrower pixel pitches are nonessential.
