UK-based virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) specialist Molten Technology reaches a distribution agreement with Desktop as a Service (DaaS) pioneer Desktone.
Desktone is known for the industry's first purpose-built cloud-hosted virtual desktop platform, pioneering the DaaS concept back in 2007. IDC describes it as a "Major Player" in desktop virtualisation.
Molten says Desktone's offering comes with "significantly lower" costs than tradtional VDI and remote desktop solutions-- as cloud-based VDI service, it requires no additional data center costs.
