Workstation Performance From ThinkPad P40 Yoga

Lenovo launches what it claims is "the first-ever multimode mobile workstation"-- the ThinkPad P40 Yoga, a convertible hybrid notebook featuring the 4 modes typical of the Yoga line.

P40 YogaThe P40 Yoga carries pro-level hardware, including a Quadro M500M GPU with 2GB VRAM, 6th generation Intel Core i7 CPU, up to 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD storage and a 2560x1440 IPS touchscreen with 2048 levels of pressure sensitivity and Wacom Active ES stylus input technology.

As mentioned earlier, the laptop offers 4 usage modes, laptop, stand, tent and tablet. Interestingly, the "Lift 'n' Lock" keyboard automatically rises a frame around the keys when the device switches to tablet mode for more comfortable operation.

ThinkstationIn addition Lenovo launches a pair of regular workstations-- the ThinkPad P50s and ThinkStation P310. The ThinkPad P50s is a light mobile workstation complete with 3K resolution IPS display and a Power Bridge technology claiming up to 17 hours of battery life, while the ThinkStation P310 is an entry-level machine featuring an Intel Xeon E3-1200v5 CPU, Nvidia GPU, up to 64GB DDR4 RAM and FLEX drive support.

All the above mentioned Lenovo offerings ship from Q1 2016.
