Nokia T MobileOperators should reach peak data rates of over 650 Mbps by 2013 through T-Mobile and Nokia Siemens' HSPA standard.

To boost download capacity, the standard suggests either the combination of 8 channels into one data link or downloading data from multiple base stations at the same time.

The 2 companies call it Long Term HSPA Evolution and say it will have speeds matching those LTE Advanced promises.

Nokia Siemens already prepared its Single Radio Access Network (RAN) platform for Long Term HSPA Evolution. All the new system's features can be used together with existing. WCDMA and HSPA mobiles on the same carriers.

Meanwhile the first networks offering HSPA+ should arrive in 2011.
