Ruckus Wireless announces the ZoneFlex R700-- the first dual-band, 3-stream indoor enterprise wifi product from the company built on the 802.11ac standard ideal for use in high-density venues.

Ruckus R700It carries BeamFlex+ adaptive antenna array technology, which Ruckus claims extends the range, reliability and speed of indoor wifi services via 6 custom smart antenna arrays (one for each band and a spatial stream).

Beamflex+ technology automatically selects transmitting and receiving traffic on a per-packet basis using horizontally and vertically polarised radio waves, the company says.

The ZoneFlex R700 is backwards compatible with existing 802.11 devices, and operates using standard 802.3af PoE to deliver aggregate data rates of up to 1.75Gbps via 5 and 2.4GHz bands. It also pairs with the ZoneDirector WLAN controller to support enterprise WLAN capabilities such as hotspot and 802.1X authentication, guest networking, automatic user and device policy enforcement, client and band balancing, per client performance thresholds, client blacklisting, dynamic pre-shared key creation and installation, and wireless intrusion prevention.

The Ruckus ZoneFlex R700 is available now.
