QSC announces the Q-SYS NV-Series (NV-32-H)-- a native software-defined HDMI encoder/decoder enabling network-based video distribution in the Q-SYS ecosystem, optimised specifically for the meeting room.

Q-SYS NV SeriesIt features what the company dubs QSC Shift. It is a video compression codec providing low latency video streaming with resolutions up to 4K60 4:4:4 over standard 1 gigabit network by adjusting bandwidth consumption based on video content. As a single SKU solution, the NV series is software-defined as either an HDMI video encoder or decoder, and allows for several I/O configurations.

In addition to video distribution, the NV series provides integration of soft codec audio and Q-SYS conference camera sources via USB for web conferences such as Zoom, Google Hangouts Meet and Cisco WebEx, all without need for additional control processors, hubs, bridges or programming. Meanwhile Q-SYS Reflect Enteprise Manager allows customers to monitor and manage all Q-SYS-based AV system across the global enterprise, including Q-SYS Core processors and peripherals, as well as any connected 3rd party devices.

By adding native video distribution, together with monitoring and management capabilities, to the existing portfolio, QSC now claims to provide an end-to-end solution providing processing, networking, AV&C, plus cloud-based monitoring and management under a single, software-based platform using mainstream IT technology.

The NV series and Q-SYS Reflect will be launched at ISE 2019.
