Infonetics: EMEA "standout" in PBX Market

EMEA is the "standout region" for the WW Q3 2011 PBX market according to Infonetics Research-- growth reaches 11% Q-o-Q, despite fears due to the current economic situation. 

PBXAs for the global situation, the WW PBX market continues a "slow steady recovery," with revenues growing 5.5% Q-o-Q to reach $2.15 billion, reversing the declines seen in Q1 and Q2 2011. Y-o-Y growth totals 6.6%.

The UC market also sees growth (15.2% Q-o-Q) while VoIP gateways see a "small decline" of -1.5% Q-o-Q. 

Avaya remains leader of the highly competitive market, holding around 25% of the Q3 2011 market thanks to steady shipments and healthy ASPs. Cisco follows, postingboth Q-o-Q and Y-o-Y revenue growth, even if it sees declining ASPs. 

Microsoft grows within the UC market, with 25% Y-o-Y Lync revenue growth. 

Infonetics says businesses are continuing their migration towards IP-based phone system, as seen in the Q3 2011 revenue split-- hybrid IP PBX make nearly 66% of the global revenues, while the rest is taken up by pure IP PBXs. 

On the other hand, TDM PBX continues to decline.
