Yamaha Unified Communications announces a partnership with AI-powered conference camera maker Huddly at InfoComm 2019, with the result bringing together the Yamaha ESB-1080 Enterprise Sound Bar and the Huddly IQ wide-angle camera.

Yamaha UC Huddly“Meeting participants demand two things no matter where they’re meeting: a seamless, intuitive experience and superior audio and video quality. As we continue to expand Yamaha’s wide breadth of superior UC solutions, these requirements are at the core of our design,” Yamaha UC says. “At InfoComm 2019, attendees will see the future of flawless, intelligent collaboration with AI-powered video.”

The two companies call the result of the collaboration the "Yamaha Collaboration Kit," and say it is perfectly tailored to deliver a high-quality video collaboration experience. The ESB-1080 provides clear full-range sound through two dome tweeters, two woofers, two built-in subwoofers and a bass-reflex port, and features a "conference mode" preset for installation in conference room spaces.

Meanwhile the camera provides 150-degree wide-angle 1080p video, an embedded mic array, automated AI features and the Huddly InSights analytics API. A "Genius Framing" feeature allows the camera to detect participants in the field of view and automatically framing the view, removing the need for manual control. As such, the system is ideal for medium conference spaces for remote collaboration and presenation with simple connections to a laptop and monitor.
