Yamaha Unified Communications starts shipping the YVC-200-- a compact USB + Bluetooth speakerphone for conferencing described by the company as the "ultimate portable device for on-the-go communication."

Yamaha UCThe YVC-200 fits the palm of the hand, and is integrated with leading Yamaha processing technologies, including adaptive echo cancellation and Human Voice Activity Detection, a means to focus on speech instead of background noise. It features an intelligent microphone and delivers full-duplex conversation without sound dropouts, even if multiple people are speaking at once. A powerful built-in speaker produces natural audio, making it easy to hear what participants are saying at any given time.

To start a remote meeting, users simply connect the YVC-200 to an audio, video or web conferencing client. USB and Bluetooth allow connection to PCs, smartphone or tablet, and the device also includes fast pairing with NFC-enabled devices. A built-in rechargeable battery promises up to 10 hours of operation.

The device is software-agnostic, and fully compatible with commonly used OSes and remote conferencing services such as Skype for Business, Microsoft Teams, Cisco Webex, Zoom and Slack, among others. Touch-sensor buttons provide manual controls of all software functions, including microphone mute and speaker volume. Users can start a meeting anytime, anywhere, including ad-hoc meetings in the office or customer site, without missing ideas or cues for making immediate decisions.

The YVC-200 is available in either black or white colours.
