SMART Technologies uses ISE 2014 to make a first showing of the SMART Room System for Microsoft Lync-- a Microsoft co-development providing a turnkey meeting room collaboration solution.

Smart ISE The system combines one or more interactive displays, wide-angle camera, customised speakers and microphones, and a room control console complete with 11.6-inch display. Each component is SMART-made, allowing for seamless integration and what the company describes as a "consistently rich meeting experience."

The displays (sizes range from 55- to 84-inch) carry a custom-designed codec enabling native Lync connectivity, with no additional hardware or software requirements. The camera features a 109-degree field of view, while one can daisy-chain up to 4 microphones to fit a wide range of meeting room configurations.

Simplifying installation further is an optional wall stand and cable routing system.

Also seen at the show is the LightRaise 60wi interactive projector-- a wall-mounted ultra-short throw number handling up to 4 simultaneous inputs. It projects at 3000 lumens, and includes Smart Meeting Pro collaboration software for input via either fingers or interactive pen.
