Cloud communications and collaborations solution vendor 8x8 coughs up $18.4 million in cash for UK-based cloud telephony and unified communications services provider Voicenet Solutions.

Founded in 2004, Voicenet provides unified communications servivces, including fixed mobile convergence applications, for SMBs and mid-market businesses.

Voicenet customers clock at around 1000.
