Siemens Enterprise Communications aims at SMB customers with OpenScape Business-- an all-in-one UC solution combining features from current HiPath 3000 and OpenScape Office solutions.
According to the company OpenScape Business is an easily scalable solution offering a single UC platform regardless of telecommunication protocol.
It supports VoIP, data and digital enhanced cordless telecommunications (DECT) through a common hardware and software infrastructure, with easy installation complete with wizards and web-based management tools for both UC and voice. It comes as either UC appliance or virtualised software running on VMware environments, both of which able to handle up to 500 users.
Existing HiPath 3000 or OpenScape Office customers can also take advantage of a simple migration to UC while leveraging their investments.
OpenScape Business will be available from June 2013.
