Bose and Sennheiser announce a collaboration at ISE 2020 to bring about the ES1 Ceiling Audio Solution, an in-ceiling solution optimised for use with unified communication platforms aimed at conference rooms.

Bose Sennheiser collaboration

The solution bundles the Sennheiser TeamConnect Ceiling 2 microphone and three Bose products, namely the ControlSpace EX-440C conferencing digital signal processor, the EdgeMax EM180 in-ceiling loudspeaker and the PowerSpace P2600A amplifier. The resolt, the two companies say, is a high performance and easy to use audio solution with no devices on the walls and tabletops.

“Collaboration is about being empowered to work together through technology, not hindered by it,” Bose says. “The Bose ES1 ceiling audio solution combines premium performance and refined aesthetics for when "good enough" won’t suffice and delivers a fully integrated meeting room solution that will shape the future of unified communications experiences.”

The TeamConnect Ceiling 2 microphone uses adaptive beamforming to automatically pick up the person speaking in a conference room, no matter their location within the space. The microphone allows freedom of movement and flexible use of conference rooms, as well as high audio quality.
