MXL Microphone announces the AC-360 at InfoComm 2019-- a universal USB-powered tabletop webconferencing microphone designed for use with all videoconferencing platforms on the market, including GoToMeeting, Skype+Teams, Zoom and Lifesize.

MXL AC-360The AC-360 is a successor to the AC-360-Z, a microphone co-developed with engineers from Zoom Video Communications as a preferred hardware selection for Zoom Rooms and Zoom Meetings software. The AC-360 is universally compatible with every top video software codec on the market, bringing 360-degree pickup with "crystal clear" speech clarity and power through USB-C to the rest of the market.

The device features 12 internal microphone capsules, divided into 4 quadrants, to ensure 360-degree speech intelligibility within an 8m radius without need for additional equipment. It is compatible with both Macs or PCs via simple plug-and-play connectivity, and each quadrant acts as an independent device for optimal performance and fidelity. Each AC-360 unit ships with a complete installation kit, including cables and mounting options.

“With the introduction of the AC-360 Web conferencing microphone, we are raising the bar and delivering an unrivaled unified communication experience that is compatible with every widely used Web conferencing platform,” MXL says. “With its amazing speech clarity and full 360-degree pickup range, we’ve designed an elegant solution for providing maximum coverage with minimal hardware.”
