Plantronics announces a first offering aimed at the huddle room market-- the Polycom Studio, a plug-and-play video bar designed for rooms with between 2 to 6 people ideal for both video conferencing and meetings.

Polycom StudioAccording to Research and Markets, just 2% of an estimated 32 million huddle rooms all over the world have video conferencing equipment. Enter the Polycom Studio, with HD audio and video bringing "boardroom capability to even the smallest of spaces." It connects to PCs or Macs via USB, and uses patented NoiseBlock and Acoustic Fence technologies to reduce distracting noise from office environments for professional-sounding communication.

Automatic speaker tracking focuses on the speaker within an ultra-wide 120-degree field of view, while 4K resolution and 5x electronic zoom ensure TV studio-like quality and experiences in a meeting. The Polycom Studio connects to corporate networks wirelessly, providing IT a "no touch" means to deploy and manage cameras across a few huddle rooms, a large campus or offices around the world. Management comes through either the cloud via Polycom Device Management Service for Enterprise or on premises with Polycom RealPresence Resource Manager.

Polycom Studio ships in European markets on Q1 2019.
