Oblong announces a first-ever initiative for ISE 2019-- a "unique" product demonstration, done in collaboration with Cisco, showing how organisations can improve workflows for distributed teams.

Cisco OblongThe demo has a Mezzanine 200 series multi-stream collaboration system at the Oblong stand connect in a Webex Teams session at the Cisco stand, showing the interoperability with Webex endpoints. The two stands are close to each other at Hall 11, allowing visitors to witness both ends of the meeting session from a single vantage point. In addition, a Webex Board at the Oblong stand will show the ease of bringing a popular touchscreen for ideation and collaboration into the Mezzanine meeting environment.

Cisco videoconferencing codecs are common in the Oblong "device agnostic" approach to seamless computing environment. In 2017 Oblong received Cisco Solutions Integrator designation, and in 2018 the two firms joined with LG to create a bundled offering bringing together Cisco Webex and Oblong Mezzanine with LG display knowhow, creating a content-rich and immersive experience.

Mezzanine is a flexible solution scaling from conference rooms and huddle spaces with the 200 series to large architectural series with the 600 series. Collaborators in all Mezzanine-enabled workplace setting can see and control all content and data streams, and users can easily trigger Mezzanine meetings in Webex Teams. All content shared in either space is synchronised immediately, allowing teams to easily access and utilise it once the meeting ends.
