IT infrastructure distributor Azlan starts distributing Meru Networks' virtualised WLAN solutions throughout Europe.
Aiming to help enterprises avoid what it calls "wifi meltdown", Meru offers 2 products-- the AP300 Series (designed for highly dense environments and bandwidth-intensive applications) and the entry level AP1000i access points.
Meru solutions were deployed in Spain's Catalunya region, following the launch of Project EDUCAT's one child, one PC program for 3200 schools. Meru's virtualised WLAN solution was deployed to handle simultaneous logins in the first 177 schools (having 2-3 access points per classroom) taking part in the program.
Added to the technology is Meru's Service Assurance Management Suite, giving IT managers the management, security and diagnostics tools to manage and optimise the WLAN infrastructure's performance.
