Belgian Microsoft specialist Codit announces a merger with Dutch consultancy Axon Olympus, creating what the two companies describe as the largest Microsoft integration and cloud solutions partner in Europe.

CoditThe merged company will operate under the Codit name, and has 120 employees in 6 countries. Codit boss Stihn Degrieck remains CEO, while Axon Olympus CEO Sean MacGillavry becomes CMO while holding responsibility for further international expansion. Codit and Axon Olympus have already been working together since a 2012, with a collaboration on R&D and managed services. The relationship was taken further in a 2014 joint venture and the opening of new offices in Zuric and Hampshire, UK.

"We have been working and communicating like a single company since the joint venture," Degrieck says. "With this merger, we are strengthening our organisation and giving our international ambitions a nudge in the right direction. We were already operating in Belgium, France and Portugal. Since this year, we have added the UK and Switzerland. Now the Netherlands is being added too."

The company hopes to see 2016 revenues reach over €13 million before growing to "well over" €25m by 2020. It also plans to employ more consultants, engineers and technology architects.

"The advent of the Internet of Things and the growing complexity of the business applications landscape call for greater investment in technology know-how," MacGillavry adds. "By joining forces, our customers can depend on us more than ever before to achieve a successful digital transformation process within their organisation."
