Western Digital enters small-office server market with a new product promising to be a "complete storage solution for the small business market".
This announcement comes with the company's OEM software agreement with Microsoft-- resulting in a combination of WD's storage technologies with Microsofot's Storage Server 2008 R2 Essentials OS.
The server product should provide centralised online storage capacity ideal for today's business environment, with advanced online features allowing for easy and secure information sharing with clients anywhere in the world.
Forrester Research says 53% of SMBs are likely to increase their spending on storage.
