Gigabyte Serves Motherboards at Computex

GigabyteGigabyte shows off 4 new server motherboard solutions at Computex 2011-- all based on Intel's Romley platform, with more options for customisation.

The Romley-based motherboards support greater memory density (up to 24 DIMMs), PCI Express 3.0 and integrated SAS, alongside integrated graphics and remote management.

While the standard Romley board carries 5-6 expansion slots, Gigabyte also has a 4-slot version-- not only reducing base costs, but also improving the system's thermal design and increases room on the board itself for additional features.
