Intel announces the 3rd generation of the Intel Core vPro platform, now carrying integrated security features from 2011 purchase McAfee.

Intel vProEmbedded security features include Identity Protection technology with public key infrastructure (Intel IPT with PKI), OS Guard and Secure Key (with AES New Instructions).

Meanwhile ePO Deep Command (based on McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator) enables a range of security and management options. The processors also cater for remote device management with Intel Active Management Technology (AMT).

Compute performance also gets improvements, with support for up to x3 independent displays and enough processing power to enable real-time analytics applications.

A number of vendors already support 3rd generation Intel Core vPro, including Lenovo, Fujitsu and Toshiba.
