AuthenTec launches the mini Eikon USB fingerprint reader at CeBIT 2012-- a smaller version of the desktop Eikon reader, ideal for laptop users. 

The fingerprint reader comes with TrueSuite software, a fingerprint password management solution for PCs or Macs. It saves complex passwords and connects them to a fingerprint-- allowing users to access and lock/unlock multiple websites or files with a single swipe. 

The company says the software protects from threats such as phishing, password dictionary attacks and other malicious software. 

Also on offer is the Eikon II, ideal for use with desktop PCs.

AuthenTec is currently looking for distributors, resellers and OEMs wanting to join its EMEA channel.
