CoSoSys says its Endpoint Protector Hardware is the first device providing out of the box device control and data security for Windows and Mac. The Endpoint Protector Hardware Appliance centrally and proactively manages the risk of data loss, theft, exposures, etc. from portable storage device use, allowing companies to take advantage of the latest gadgets without having to worry about security threats.
Once installed it allows IT departments to control internal device use, track all data transfers over protected networks and enforce data encryption on data in transit on portable devices.
Device management can be done from anywhere using a virtual server appliance.
The company says network plug-in and setup take less than 5 minutes, and maintenance and update tasks are automatic.
