Nimbus Data Systems launches its S-Class series flash memory storage systems' second generation.
The company says the new S-Class line x3 times faster than the original, thanks to enterprise flash modules using 6 Gbps SAS connectivity and a higher-performance flash management processor.
A new-non blocking internal midplane provides simultaneous full line-rate 6 Gbps performance to each flash module, while advanced wear-leveling alogirthms maximise flash durability in non-stop mission-critical installations.
It comes with native fibre channel and Infiniband networking support, in addition to 10 Gigabit ethernet and Gigabit ethernet.
Powering the S-Class is Nimbus' HALO OS, featuring simultaneous iSCSI, FC, SRP, NFS, and CIFS protocol support, enabling complete unified SAN and NAS provisioning from one system.
The Nimbus S-Class is available in x3 capacities-- 2.5, 5 and 10 TB.
