LancomLancom's 1780EW-3G is the first in a 3.5G and 4G cellular router series-- using an integrated UMTS/HSPA+ modem for broadband internet connectivity (up to 21 Mbps down/5.76 Mbps up).

It also handles wifi, via 802.11n WLAN radio module networking at up to 300 Mbps.

The UMTS/HSMP+, high-speed WLAN and VPN combination makes the device ideal for companies and branch office lacking broadband, cable-based internet access or requiring mobile internet access such as temporary conference rooms and mobile offices.

It operates as a central IPsec VPN gateway providing AES encryption and digital-certificate support, with a standard x5 VPN channels (or optionally x25). Users can also establish IPsec tunnels, while VRRP facilitates virtual device combination. Security functions include 802.11i, WPA, WPA2, VPN, 802.1x and TACACS+.

Additional flexibility comes through up to x8 SSIDs and ARF supporting up to x16 separate networks. The wifi radio module not only complies with the IEEE 802.11agn standard but also comes with optional content filter for up to 100 users.
