All-flash enterprise-class storage array maker WhipTail is pushing further towards our territories-- with co-founder Brian Feller relocating to London as EMEA VP and GM.

WhipTail EMEA clients include AMD, inVentiv Health, Weichert Realty and the UK Pensions Trust. 

The company sells what it says is the first all-flash storage array-- the XLR8r, which eliminates IO bottlenecks by allowing servers to process more data in less time. It delivers up to 25000 random wrote IOs, with response times reaching 0.1 milliseconds. 

The array uses multi-level cell (MLC) flash together with WhipTail's Racerunner OS, which uses a number of I/O handling techniques to reduce performance and endurance issues native to SSDs.
