Proact provides a storage system for Oulun Tietotekniikka in Oulu, Finland-- increasing storage with nearly 100 TBs through an EMC Celerra NS960 storage system.
The system includes FAST (Fully Automated Storage Tiering) functionality, allowing for automatic data transfer from one tier level to another according to current need.
It is also now expandable to 960 disks.
The client required replacement of their old storage system, due to continuously growing data amounts and the need for additional performance. Proact says the new system halves the time required to calculate the salaries of around 9600 city employees.
