CRU-DataPort introduce its ToughTech Duo, a high performance RAID storage system within a small, portable footprint (3.5” x 6.26” x 1.34”) ideal for offsite backups.
The ToughTech Duo uses x2 2.5" notebook HDDs or SSDs-- writing the same information in real-time on both drives to ensure data integrity and protect digital assets.
Connections come through FireWire 800/400, USB 2.0 and eSATA. The ToughTech Duo also features front-accessible removable trays (for drive swapping), and a LCD screen allows users to monitor drive health and configure RAID mode.
The company say the device uses an all-alumium body for optimal heat dissipation-- meaning it needs no fans, resulting in ultra-quiet operation.
