Taking a Profitable Seat: Selling AV Furniture

It’s always amazed us at rAVe how many integrators overlook the simplest of profit-makers…the seats, supports, stands, tables, trolleys and other “furniture” that is designed to complement pro AV/IT technology.

One of the company’s setting an example in the field is Modul IT, a young European company with a growing business. We recently interviewed Haim Elallouf, Sales Director, to talk about Cordica Limited, the challenges, and how furniture might be the missing link in the product chain of many integrators.

Please tell us about Modul IT? How did it start?

We were already in the business of professional AV for more than 15 years, experiencing a lot of excitement, opportunities and success. NEC’s Full HD 3D-ready Compact Meeting Room Projector

NEC Display Solutions Europe launches the PE401H semi-professional Full HD 3D-ready meeting room projector to meet customer demand for a compact high resolution meeting projector with high brightness and outstanding performance.

The latest addition to the NEC projector portfolio brings a range of benefits for corporate and for higher education customers. These include high brightness with 1080p resolution with 2000:1 contrast.

Its compact design, measuring 350mm by 280mm, and the large 1.7x optical zoom, allows greater flexibility when using the projector in mid to large meeting rooms or classrooms.

Even at this very compact size, the 4000 ANSI lumens makes it suitable for recommended screen sizes of up to 130" in normal office ambient light conditions. The 1.7x optical zoom allows high flexibility in positioning the PE401H towards the screen. This also helps to minimise replacement costs of ceiling mounted units as the position of the mount usually doesn’t need to be changed when replacing an old projector. Read more...
