Running an embedded system, Reach’s Bee 8 Media Recorder is a 19” rack-mountable device with 1U height. With 3 DVI-I Inputs, it supports 2 videos and 1 VGA inputs and records these signals with audio synchronously.

The video inputs support standard definition and HD up to 1080p@60. The format of the recorded file is MP4 which makes it easy to playback and work with Windows Media Player, QuickTime, VLC and many other video players.

The Bee 8 has 1TB of internal storage and as well as a USB port on the front panel. Any user can quickly record files directly to the USB device or download recorded files to the USB device. ONVIF, the leading global standardization initiative for IP-based physical security products, announces the Release Candidate for Profile G, the specification designed to store, search, retrieve and playback media on devices or clients that support recording capabilities and on-board storage.

This new Profile is now available for review on the ONVIF website.

As with Profile S, which ONVIF introduced in 2012 as the standard interface to stream video and audio between conformant devices and clients, Profile G now brings video playback into the Profile concept.
