DVIGear Intros 4K MultiViewer Switcher/Scaler

DVIGear expands its line of switching and scaling products with the DVI-3580a 4K MultiViewer Switcher/Scaler, a device featuring 7 inputs in the shape of 4 HDMI (or DVI), 2 DisplayPort and 1 RGB/YPbPr analog (VGA).

The unit supports a wide range of signal formats and resolutions up to 4K/60p (4:4:4 on the DisplayPort inputs). Harman Pushes Lossless 4K Video Over Ethernet

Harman Pro launches the NMX-ENC-N2151 4K Encoder and NMX-DEC-N2251 4K Decoder at ISE 2016-- a solution the company says transports lossless 4K/UHD video over standard 1Gbps networks and 10-40Gbps fibre uplinks.

The solution is similar to the rest of the AMX SVSI N2000 series, but is can handle video resolutions up to 4096x2160. According to AMX, JPEG 2000 compression allows the switching and distribution of 4K video over standard gigabit ethernet networks, with the NMX-ENC-N2151 encoder simultaneously providing video signals as a JPEG 2000-compressed 200-600Mbps stream (through RJ-45 connector) and an uncompressed stream (via SFP+ connector).

VESA Updates Display Stream Compression Standard

The Video Electronics Association (VESA) releases version 1.2 of the Display Stream Compression (DSC) standard, developed to support a wider range of display applications.

It is aimed primarily at externally connected displays (such as PC monitors and TVs) and provides native compression of the YCbCr 4:2:0 and 4:2:2 video formats commonly used in digital TVs. It also handles up to 16 bits per colour (DSC 1.1 supports only 8, 10 and 12 bits per colour) and High Dynamic Range (HDR).

Murideo Shows Prisma for Image Fidelity at ISE 2016

Murideo’s Prisma is a highly advanced single-in single-out video processor. Other processors might have similar features individually, says the maker… “but none of them can do it all like the Prisma.”

The Prisma’s 17x17x17 3D LUT and PrismaVue technology give the user control over image fidelity.

The Prisma combines two very powerful image processing technologies - a 3D Cube Lookup Table and the PrismaVue.

The PrismaVue is similar to what is found in most image processing applications like Adobe Photoshop. It provides much higher quality Read more...
