Cloud infrastructure and DevOps tool maker HashiCorp presents the next generation of the Terraform Enterprise cloud-based and on-premises infrastructure provisioning application.

Released after a beta period, Terraform Enterprise allows developers to collaborate in the management of infrastructure, without need for programming know how from administrators via HasiCorp Terraform. It uses the HashiCorp Sentinel policy as code framework for governance and policy management, while a redesigned Workspaces UI allows organisations to decompose infrastructure into modular components.

Data management vendor Informatica announces an update of the integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) solution-- Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services, built on a modular microservices architecture.

According to the company, Intelligent Cloud Services offers a unified user experience across iPaaS integration patterns. The modular architecture is customisable and easy to navigate, while the CLAIRE engine provides AI metadata-driven recommendations to automation and accelerate integration and data management work.

Developers wanting to build enterprise AI chatbots get a pair of cloud-based solutions from Microsoft-- the Azure Bot Service and Language Understanding (LUIS) as part of the Cognitive Service AI suite.

First released in preview form back in November 2016, Azure Bot Service is designed to enable the creation of "conversational interfaces on multiple channels." It allows developers to target a number of Microsoft and 3rd party apps and services, including Cortana, Skype, Slack and Facebook Messenger, without need to adapt code for each.

The official release includes Premium Channels, allowing customers to communicate directly with the website or app users and access to open-source software for custom chatbots. The service is available in 9 Azure regions, including Ireland, Hong Kong and Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Micro Focus announces Digital Safe 10-- a means for customers to mitigate information-borne risks from regulatory mandates, such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

GDPR is set to become EU law from May 2018, together with the updated version of the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID II).

According to the company, Digital Safe 10 allows customers to refine and extend information archiving strategies to tackle compliance, as well as tap into the potential business insights of archived data. It builds on a foundation of high levels of security, "virtually unlimited" processing capacity, market-leading employee supervision, scalability, compliant storage and market defining architecture.
