Logitech updates its Alert digital video system, aiming at small business with the B700i and B700e PoE security cameras.

Both models carry a 720p camera (with 130-degree lens), built-in microphone, professional-grade wall mounts, 2GB MicroSD card (for storage) and free live remote viewing on PC, Mac or smartphone (via iOS, Android and Blackberryn apps).

The B700e model is also weatherproof and IP55 certified, and comes with HD night vision.

Bluestsoft says neither erasing files nor formating completely erases data from an HDD-- which is why it suggests the use of its DiskDeleter EX EXE client-server solution. 

DiskDeleter runs on Windows from either shared network drive or remote operation tool, and reboots the system while deleting everything on disk. As an executable file, it requires no CD or USB.

The EMEA enterprise network security market shows 7.2% Y-o-Y growth for Q1 2011, with public sector budget cuts and national debt issues continuing to curb W. European investment, according to Canalys' latest report.
