VoIP Revenue Grows Thanks to Competion

ABI Research reports enterprises' VoIP investments are growing, both on customer premises equipment and hosted VoIP, with the UC suites market to reach $4.8 billion by 2015.

It also expects IP PBX vendors to ship just over 35 million IP lines (inluding native IP and hybrid lines) worldwide through 2010. International IP PBX services will finish the year with a 15.3% increase ($3.4 billion) worldwide.

Virtualised Server Sales on the Rise in CEMA

Q2 virtualised server shipments in CEMA surge 70.3% year-on-year, IDC says. 

IDC's Quarterly Server Virtualisation Tracker reports 12.6% of servers shipped in the region are virtualised-- 16867 units, an increase of 3.1% over last year. 

HP leads the market in virtualised server shipments, followed by IBM and Dell. The top three's market share reaches 79%.

VMware, with Microsoft second, lead in the x86 virtualisation licenses market.
