Cisco announces the first products from the company using 802.11ac technology-- the dual-band Linksys EA6500 wifi router and the companion single-band Universal Media Connector network bridge.

The EA6500 carries x6 internal 3D antennas and is backwards compatible with all 802.11a/b/g/n wireless networks and devices. It also uses the Cisco Connect Cloud platform, helping users either manage the router or connect to other devices.

InFocus says their InFocus Video Phone is the only phone that you’ll need in your office. Yep, you read that right.

InFocus is showing a desktop VideoPhone that's networked, IP-addressable and allows for personal or group videoconferencing.

The InFocus VideoPhone can start audio and HD video calls as easy as a standard phone.

Xsigo launches the Xsigo Data Center Fabric portfolio-- a product line featuring improved hardware and sotware products supporting more hypervisors and next-generation servers. 

The Xsigo Fabric virtualises data center I/O, with a "Director" filling in for the ethernet and fibre channel switches connecting servers to storage and other network resources. The I/O Director also reduces the number of server cards connecting fibre channel, iSCSI and ethernet devices.

Dell believes the future lies in ARM-based server ecosystems, and launches "Copper"-- a server carrying 48 low-power ARM processors similar to those powering most mobile devices. 

Dell is not selling Copper servers yet, but is sharing prototypes with a number of select customers. It will also open remote access to Copper clusters by end 2012, where developers can book time on the platform. 

An ARM-supported Crowbar version (Dell's open-source management infrastructure software) is also in the works.
