Huawei launches a range of Intel Xeon-based server products at IDF 2014-- the RH8100 V3 8-socket server, the RH5885H V3 4-socket rack server and the E9000 converged architecture blade server.
The RH8100 V3 runs on a Xeon E7-880 v2 processor, with hardware partitioning technology dividing a single 8-socket server into 2 40socket servers. It promises up to 60 features across reliability, availability and serviceability (RAS) and is comparable to mid-range PCs in performance and extensibility.
Meanwhile the RH5885H V3 4-socket rack server provides 53 RAS features together with "world record" integer and floating-point computing performance. As well as the Xeon E7-4800 v2 processor it features up to 16 PCIe slots for customer expansion requirements.
