NDI-Based Networking from NewTek at ISE 2018

NewTek presents what it says is a first at ISE 2018 with the NDI HX, the first Network Device Interface (NDI) pan/tilt/zoom camera with video, audio, PTZ control, tally and power via single ethernet camera.

The 20x zoom IP video camera transmits 3G 1080p 60 video directly to any NDI-compatible product over standard network, including LiveStream Studio, SplitmediaLabs XSplit, Streamstar, OBS Studio, StudioCoast vMix, Telestream Wirecast and NewTek TriCaster. In addition, it also pushes video to popular desktop video applications such as Google Hangouts, GoToMeeting, Skype, WebEx and Zoom, meaning it also caters for education and broadcast video production needs.

ZeeVee Shows 4K Compressed AV-Over-IP Switch

ZeeVee expands the ZyPer IP-based distribution platform with the ZyPerUHD, available in both compressed and uncompressed options for delivering 4K over a standard ethernet switch (4K@60Hz 4:2:0).

The ZyPerUHD encoders and decoders provide ultra-low latency (less than 2 frames, ZeeVee claims) compressed video up to UHD/4K resolution using an off-the-shelf 1Gb ethernet switch. This is means customers can deploy UHD throughout their facility, and even interconnect campuses while leveraging existing IP infrastructure.

Crestron Ships DigitalMedia NVX Series

Crestron starts shipping the DigitalMedia NVX series-- a means for installers to transmit 4K60 4:4:4 HDR video over standard 1 gigabit ethernet cable, with zero latency.

The DVM NVX series is an "infinitely scalable" software-defined matrix able to share 4K60 4:4:4 HDR content securely over a dedicated 1Gb copper or fibre network, with no latency or limits. It has a focus on security, with 802.1X authentication ensuring every DV NVX device is explicitly authorised, Active Directory credential management ensuring only authorised administrators gain access and Secure CIP handling secure connections between DM NVX and Crestron control systems.

It consists of encoder/decoder Boxes (DM-NVX-350, DM-NVX-351), encoder/decoder cards (DM-NVX-350C, DM-NVX-351C), and a card chassis(DMF-CI8). DM NVX encoders/decoders feature built-in USB 2.0 routing, DSP and breakaway audio, HDCP 2.2 support, auto-switching, all-in-one encoding/decoding, and native ethernet support, as well as fibre via optional SPF modules.

AMX Brings N2400 Encoders/Decoders at ISE

AMX launches the N2400 series at ISE 2017-- a range of encoders and decoders able to send 4K video over gigabit ethernet networks with "near-impeccable latency."

The N2400 series devices support 4K video at 60Hz and 4:4:4 (8-bit colour) through JPEG encoding, and deliver content at native frame rates and colour space with just two frames of latency. HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2 support provides compatibility with all current 4K sources and displays.

AMX says the encoders and decoders are easy to integrate with existing video-distribution infrastructures. The devices can be PoE+ powered, and operate via either standard 12VDC power or ethernet connection from the local network switch. Integration is made easiery through use of the same control APIs, software and web interfaces as existing AMX networked AV solutions.

Gefen Intros DisplayPort 1.2 Fibre-Optic Extender

Gefen from Core Brands presents the EXT-DP-4K600-1SC at ISE 2017-- an extender the company claims allows installers to place 4K 600MHz DisplayPort 1.2 sources and displays up to 200m apart with full optical isolation.

The EXT-DP-4K600-1SC extends HDCP 2.2, HDCP 1.4 and DPCP compliant DisplayPort 600MHz 4K audio/video over fibre. It supports WQUXGA (3840×2400), 4K Ultra HD (3840×2160), and 4K Cinema — DCI (4096×2160), up to 60 Hz frame rate and 4:4:4 Chroma sub-sampling. The AV signal is extended up to 200m, over a single strand of SC-terminated 50/125µm OM3 or better multi-mode fibre-optic cable.
