ELB (formerly Electroboard) debuts the Prowise-- a native 4K interactive presentation display, digital whiteboard and video collaboration solution. A collaboration board, in other words.

The Prowise features a built-in Windows 10 PC, wide area microphones, soundbar with subwoofer and a 1080p conferencing camera. Mounting comes through either motorised, height-adjustable mobile stand or fixed wall mount bracket. The company says all Prowise panels have a dust-resistant, fan-free silent running design to extend product life, since ventilators and filters are no longer necessary.

IBM and Ricoh announce a partnership in a cognitive-enabled interactive whiteboard using IBM's Watson intelligence and voice technologies to support voice commands, taking notes and actions and even translating to other languages.

The so called Intelligent Workplace Solution leverages IBM Watson and Ricoh interactive whiteboards to allow voice control. It also makes sure Watson does not just listen, but instead is an active meeting participant, using real-time analytics to help guide discussions.

Once a meeting begins, any employee (be it in-person or remotely) can control the screen, including advancing slides, through simple voice commands using the Watson Natural Language API. As mentioned earlier the whiteboard can translate speakers' words into several other languages, and even display them on screen or in transcript.

Shure launches the Interpretation Console and Electronic Name Sign at ISE 2017-- a pair of ISO-201009-compliant additions to the DCS6000 Digital Conference System.

The Interpretation Console is designed to give conference interpreters greater control and flexibility. It features an efficient control layout with a large colour screen, 3 outgoing language channels and 8 relay buttons. The controls are easy to locate by touch, and Shure includes Braille labels and audible cues for visually-impaired users. Users can configure the screen to show language channels or information about the speaker or agenda, and one can save preferred configurations on USB drive or NFC card of the instant configuration of another console with the same settings.

The Polycom RealPresence Immersive Studio Plex is a room videoconferencing system using multiple 65-inch displays to immerse attendees with 4K video.

It integrates with Polycom 3D Voice, digital ceiling microphones and a system allowing for annotation and whiteboarding from user laptops or mobile devices, and includes Skype for Business integration as well as Polycom RealConnect. Lost packet recovery QoS technology ensures great quality even amid network issues, and Polycom 3D Voice uses 3-channel processing for accurate positional audio.

The system uses three 65-inch 4K LCD displays showing up to 6 participants in full size (two per display), while a 55-inch 1080p display handles content. Users can move content to one or all of the 65-inch displays, while RealPresence Touch delivers an intuitive UI on a 10.1-inch display.
