Oblong Intros Mezzanine 200

Oblong Industries releases the Mezzanine 200 series-- a visual collaboration solution with a new Partner Kit designed as a packaged solution for huddle rooms.

The Mezzanine 200 offers a platform for global team collaboration in smaller connected spaces. The solution offers a simple dual-screen configuration, making it easy to deploy. It complements a variety of displays, TVC codecs and other hardware peripherals offered by partners, providing a full room solution to customers.

However, what Oblong says makes the Mezzanine 200 different is a bezel-mounted infrared gesture-tracking system adding a natural interface option for multiple simultaneous content streams. Users simply need to point the remote wand device on the screens to highlight, snapshot, move and scale important information on the fly.

An AutoFramer to Automatically Frame People

1 Beyond announces the AutoFramer-- a PTZ camera able to detect the number and location of people in a room, before automatically framing them.

Designed for small or medium-sized rooms, the camera adjusts as the group size or location changes. It widens the frame with more people, and zooms in tightly with fewer. If someone gets up to write on the board, the camera pans, tilts and zooms accordingly to include the new position.

The AutoFramer also eliminates the empty space in the frame, improving the viewer experience. Meeting or event attendees do not need to manually adjust the camera or rely on presets, creating better video conferences, event recordings or virtual trainings.

Extron announces the StudioStation-- a quick, simple and convenient hardware solution for one-touch recording of high quality video and audio presentations.

To turn on the system, one simply inserts a USB stick and presses the record button to start recording. The system powers up automatically, and once the recording is complete, removing the USB storage puts it back in standby mode and turns off any devices connected to the power controller. The core components fit securely in an equipment rack, with only the control panel and USB connection visible to the user.

Default recording is configured at 720p at 5Mbps and produces an MP4 media file. An embedded web page allows one to customise the default configuration to meet the needs of many applications.

Nureva Ships HDL300

Nureva announces it started shipping the HDL300-- an audio conferencing system featuring Microphone Mist technology placing 8192 virtual microphones throughout a meeting room.

First revealed back at InfoComm 2016, the HDL300 uses real-time hardware and sophisticated algorithms to simultaneously process sound from all virtual microphones to provide participants with a high quality listening experience. As a result, all participants are clearly heard regardless of their position in the room or the direction they are facing, resolving poor audio pickup issues.

The system's audio processing unit handles up to 15000 MIPS, making it more powerful than conventional systems. Further additions include continuous self-calibrations, simultaneous echo cancellation, position-based automatic gain and sound masking.
