Logitech Adds to Conferencing

Logitech announces its latest enterprise videoconferencing hardware offering-- the Logitech Webcam C930e with a "first ever" 90-degree field of view, the widest in a business-standard webcam yet. 

Carl Zeiss-certified lenses help cut out fish-eye distortion, while a digital pan-tilt-zoon feature allows point of view transitions at up to 4x magnification during HD video calls. Nycomm Group Makes Major Acquisition

The Nycomm Group acquires video conferencing specialist and audio visual integrator, Videonations in an undisclosed deal.

Chairman Julian Niman’s sees this acquisition as a way to advance the company’s capability in providing unified communications to the Nimans network of resellers.

“We have been looking for some time for the right partner to help accelerate our future growth,” comments Niman. “Our market research predicts significant acceleration in video conferencing in the SMB market. In partnership with our resellers we are particularly effective in that space. It is our intention to capture the same share of the video market that we’ve had in the communication solutions market for the last 30 years.”

Established in 2001, Videonations is a specialist video conferencing, audio visual and VaaS (Video as a Service) integrator, with offices in London and Altrincham in UK. Boasting about its demonstration facilities, Videonations says it is completely vendor-agnostic and working with various video conferencing manufacturers including LifeSize, Polycom, Radvision and Cisco/Tandberg. Saville Audio Visual Highlights Telepresence at ISE

AV/IT integrator Saville Audio Visual makes its first appearance at ISE as an exhibitor –featuring its bespoke immersive Telepresence environment with a full working system on its stand.

Powered by Polycom’s ATX Telepresence engine, with three 60” HD screens in a veneered Telepresence credenza (made in the Saville furniture workshops), their demo will have three touchscreen content monitors and a touch screen controller, plus an acoustic control paneled rear wall. The room is designed to seat six.

“Our main aim of exhibiting at ISE is to raise awareness of Saville’s capabilities for the delivery and production of custom video environments, including TP, both as the UK’s leading custom Telepresence provider and manufacturer and also the only European company that can provide a full turn-key solution.
