ISE Cooperates With VR Days

ISE organiser Integrated Systems Events announces an official cooperation with VR Days Europe, the "unique celebration of Virtual and Augmented content, creativity and production."

VR Days Europe takes place in 5 different venues across the city of Amsterdam. Now in its 3rd year, the event comprises a range of keynotes, sessions, workshops and seminars all centered around the technology in the title, virtual reality. The 2017 edition takes place on 25-27 October, with a one-day conference at the prestigious DeLaMar Theatre, the Experts Tracks look at vertical markets, the VRackathan (where experts tackle challenges set by companies and organisations), a CineMart featuring a jury of VR film and technology leaders and a Church of VR showcase of finest VR content.

ISE Adds NEC, Barco EMEA Execs to Board

Integrated Systems Events, producers of Integrated Systems Europe, announces a pair of additions to its Board of Directors-- Stefanie Corinth from NEC and Piet Candeel from Barco.

Stefanie Corinth is senior VP, marketing and business development at NEC Display Solutions Europe, while Piet Candeel is senior VP EMEA, Barco. The two join the board as of 1 July 2017, and replace outgoing board members Wolfgang Lenz from Comm-Tech and Ollie French from Future Automation.

Corinth has 20 years of experience in leading marketing, sales and business development teams across EMEA. Candeel has extensive expertise operating across EMEA, in a 19-year Barco career that includes senior positions in marketing and sales management.

    Record 2017 for InfoComm Show

    InfoComm welcomed over 44000 visitors this year-- a record for the trade show, marking a 13% increase since the last time it was held in Orlando, Florida in 2015 and 14% over InfoComm 2016 in Las Vegas.

    “It’s a watershed year for InfoComm,” said Jason McGraw, InfoComm International CTS, CAE, Senior Vice President of Expositions says. “The technology on display was amazing again, and we’re thrilled with the tremendous response, but we’re especially excited that guest after guest told us this InfoComm offered new and different experiences for our growing, innovative audience.”

    By the time the doors closed for the week InfoComm 2017 logged 44077 attendees. Visitors came from 117 countries, with 17% of attendees coming from outside the US. Exhibitors counted 950, filling an expo space spanning over 545000 net square feet of exhibits, demo rooms and special events space, making the biggest InfoComm ever.

    Integrated Systems Events reports over 40% of ISE 2017 attendees were first timers, with 15662 exhibitor personnel contributing to a total visitor count on 73413 and 22713 visiting for the first time.

    The "Official Facts and Figures" report, based on data collected from registrations and post-show questionnaires, breaks down show visitor demographics. For instance, the show hosted 1192 exhibitors from 79 countries, and over 30% of visitors were system integrators, with distributors and manufacturers making 16.8% and 14.9% respectively.

    Technology consultants account for 8.7% of the total, and end customers make 7.8%. Interestingly, 34.2% of attendees have interests spanning both commercial and residential sectors, while 10.8% were purely interested in seeing residential solutions. The remaining 55% were interested solely in the commercial sector.

    Biggest ISE Yet in 2017

    Integrated Systems Events states ISE 2017 is the biggest edition of the show yet, with 1192 AV equipment vendors and suppliers showcasing the latest in digital signage, unified communications, audio, smart building, residential and education technology.

    “ISE 2017 has been the biggest and best year yet for CEDIA. We expanded our education offering and doubled bookings to more than 800,” CEDIA CEO Vin Bruno says. “ISE 2017 also gave us a great opportunity to connect with so many of our members from around the globe. Our booth was continuously busy especially during the CEDIA Talks. The show was a huge success and we can’t wait for next year.”

    Registered attendees were also at an all-time high at 73413, an 11.% increase over 2016. Visitors came from 150 different countries, while almost 600 registered attendees came from the press and media. The actual show took place over 14 halls in the RAI Amsterdam, and involved four days of product launches, press briefings, awards, seminars and networking events.
