Managed services provider Claranet acquires Union Solutions, a UK-based data storage and security reseller and Microsoft Azure partner. Financial details of the deal are not available.

Union Solutions has offices in Surrey and Kent, where it employs around 30 staff. It has an annual turnover of £10 million, and specialises in a range of infrastructure and managed service offerings, including infrastructure design, hosting, transition, and migration. It supports both large on-premise managed solutions and managed solutions on Microsoft Azure.

Tech Data announces a change in leadership, as COO Richard T. Hume takes the reigns of the company after current CEO Bob Dutkowsky steps down from his position after over a decade in charge.

Hume assumes the CEO position-- a "culmination of the board's leadership succession plan," as the distributor puts it-- on 6 June 2018. In turn, Dutkowsky becomes executive chairman of the board.

Polish system integrator Qumak announces a bid to merge with Polish outsourcer Euvic Group-- creating, following approval, one of the biggest IT firms in the CEE region.

Euvic already owns a share in Qumak, since back in September 2017 it acquired a 10% share in the company. The current plan has Qumac buy all of Euvic, in exchange for Euvic shareholders getting a majority stake in Qumac. The two companies estimate the 100% stake in Euvic will not exceed €52.44 million (or PLN 220m).

Harman Professional Solutions opens an Experience Centre in London-- a 2400-square-metre facility serving as EMEA region HQ complete with demonstrations of the various brands owned by the company.
