Google+ for Dell's Sales, Service?

Will Dell start using Google+-- specifically its videoconferencing system-- for customer service? That's what CE Michael Dell suggests, saying "I am thinking about hangouts for business."

Google+ is now over 3 weeks old, with over 10m users.

Trust-based solution and services provider Keynectis acquires OpenTrust, a market leader in enterprise and government trusted infrastructure solutions. 

opentrustThe sale should help Keynectis increase its growth, particularly within the international market where OpenTrust is already well known.

The companies say the acquisition should increase Keynetis' export sales "to over 30% of total revenues."

Transaction procedures are to close this summer.

RIM's Mixed 2011 Results

RIM announces its earning for its fiscal Q1 2012, where WW revenues fall by -12% from the previous quarter, reaching totals of $4.9Bn-- a drop the company describes as "challenging". 

The company breaks down this total as 78% hardware, 20% service and 2% software. 

However RIM also says its international revenue for Q1 shows 67% Y-o-Y growth.

The earnings results also revealing its shipment totals for the quarter-- 13.2m Blackberry handheld devices and around 500000 Playbook tablets.

Dolby Sues RIM

Dolby Laboratories files patent-infringement lawsuits in Germany and the US against Research in Motion, claiming "many RIM products" infringe patents covering digital audio compression technologies. 

Dolby says Dolby International (its wholly owned subsidiary) will seek both financial damages and an injunction against sales of RIM devices allegdly using its technology.

Gigabyte shows off 4 new server motherboard solutions at Computex 2011-- all based on Intel's Romley platform, with more options for customisation. 

The Romley-based motherboards support greater memory density (up to 24 DIMMs), PCI Express 3.0 and integrated SAS, alongside integrated graphics and remote management.
