WX6000

Canon Europe extends its XEED range of installation projectors with the launch of the SX6000 and the WX6000. These new projectors offer high brightness (6000 and 5700 lumens respectively), a range of lens options – including a new Ultra Long Zoom lens – and features to make installation and maintenance as straightforward as possible.

The new models fit a broad range of corporate, exhibition and education environments, where a permanently installed high brightness projector is required. The SX6000 has native SXGA+ resolution (1400 x 1050 pixels) with a 4:3 aspect ratio, while the WX6000 offers WXGA+ resolution (1440 x 900 pixels) and has a 16:10 aspect ratio.

Canon’s XEED SX6000 and WX6000 benefit from an updated version of Canon’s proprietary AISYS technology and a new LCOS display panel. Both projectors will be compatible with a new Ultra Long Zoom lens (available from Q4 2012), in addition to Canon’s existing lens line-up.

The new lens has a 1.95x zoom, offering a range of throw distances between 7.6 and 15 metres for a standard 100” image. In addition, projection distances of up to 88 metres are possible, for a maximum diagonal image size of 600”.

Julian Rutland, Visual Communication Products and Solutions Director, Canon Europe says, “The addition of the SX6000 and WX6000 to Canon’s XEED installation range means that there is now a Canon solution for system integrators and end users looking for extra brightness to add impact to displays, or a projector that offers outstanding performance in larger venues...”

Both will be available in Q4 2012. Medical versions of both (complete with DICOM Preset image mode) will become available shortly afterwards. The Ultra Long Zoom lens will be available in Q4 2012 and will be compatible with the all Canon XEED installation models.
