Paradigm’s Glass Screen, A New Direction for Rear Projection

E-mail Print PDF

 Paradigm Glass Screen

Designed and manufactured in Paradigm’s own factory in Bedfordshire, the Paradigm Glass Screen key differentiator is the optical-quality glass surface which only faces the viewer and provides options for anti-reflective and colour tints.

The Paradigm rear projection surface faces the projector directly, avoiding traditional limitations, namely of brightness uniformity and internal reflections within the glass, causing double imaging. Available in up to 14 metre width (and in many different formats), Paradigm has prioritised image quality and ensured that optimisation for clients' specific needs is represented.

By customising its screens to the application, using bespoke screen material, Paradigm is providing options for all applications, including soft-edge blending, multi-projector, simulation, signage and boardrooms across the 14 metre width. The customer is encouraged to test all options before selecting the screen type that will most appropriately suit the project.

Paradigm CEO Greg Jeffreys says, “With the Paradigm Glass Screen you are not merely buying a piece of hardware – it is a fully-serviced package, every step of which encompasses best practice. The unique modular design, which can be configured and optimized by the client, means this is the most cost-effective product on the market today.”

This solution has already been picked as part of a major defence contract (where it is used to present different scenarios in a sophisticated 7.4m x 1.85m display with soft edge blend).

 Glass Screen

The concept of an optimised rear projection screen, with the glass facing the viewer, was perfect for their requirements — especially since the client was first able to evaluate the different screen options and gain characteristics under demo conditions at Paradigm HQ.

Paradigm Glass Screen complies with the new ANSI Standard Projected Image System Contrast Ratio (PISCR).

The screen is of modular construction, allowing replacement of individual elements in case of accidental damage. It also provides options for industry-standard single or multiple Paradigm Easy-Erect Mirror Rigs (minimising the space required and optimising image geometry and quality).

There are also options available for walls to surround and support the Paradigm Glass Screen, in virtually any size, finish and colour.

The package comes with a full-service product package including comprehensive design, full 3D CAD drawings and visualisations, comprehensive consultancy, project management and Installation.
