QNAP Systems launches version 3.6 of Turbo NAS Management firmware, with updates including enterprise features such as VPN, LDAP and proxy servers.
The version 3.6 software also adds support for cloud photo and music sharing, MyCloudNAS 1.2, QPKG centre and a number of enchanced backup featuers.
The company says the VPN server provides an economical means for customers to create a secure private network with up to 256-bit encryption, while LDAP server makes mass account management easier.
The proxy server comes with "Squid" QPKG, which QNAP says provides administrators with a network loading management solution while handling network security.
It also includes a number of backup enhancements for RTRR, rsync and third-party cloud backup, as well version 4 of NetBak Replicator.
