Talk & Vision Gets Tandberg European Platinum Partner Status

E-mail Print PDF

Officially awarded European Platinum Partner status during Tandberg's annual Partner Summit in Lisbon, Talk & Vision now has the highest partner level in all four of the countries in which Talk & Vision has offices.

Talk & Vision can offer all of its solutions to Tandberg's customers around the world.

Talk & Vision was already an accredited service partner, but one requirement to become a Platinum Partner is a Center of Excellence where customers can see Tandberg's full offering. Talk & Vision now has two of these centers; one in Linschoten, Netherlands and one in London. The partner must also have the highest level of knowledge in the area of visual communication and the generic IT skills that are needed to advise customers and provide the right support.

“Talk & Vision deserves being a Platinum Partner,” says Geir Langfeldt Olsen, President of Tandberg EMEA. “From the beginning of our collaboration, they have shown that they can support our customers at a high level with their extensive knowledge, IT skills and managed video services. Through the merger with KPN, Talk & Vision is the only company in Europe that can combine voice, video and data. Talk & Vision's Platinum status is well deserved."

Because Tandberg is under acquisition by Cisco, we at rAVe EUROPE think this Platinum appointment has even more significance. Yes, of course the Cisco purchase will create more business opportunities for Tandberg partners (based on the fact Cisco will leverage its marketing to help build the video conferencing market). But one year from now it may a whole new game to get a Tandberg/Cisco Platinum Partner status. Chances are likely that Cisco will hard to hang onto Tandberg Platinum partners but other levels of partners may find life more difficult a year from now.
