WolfVision Shows Off Its 3D Visualizer

E-mail Print PDF

WolfVisionWolfVision displayed its 3D Visualizer concept at InfoComm 2011. This concept, says the manufacturer, could very well be the future of visualizers in training rooms and educational centers.

Since 3D technology is such an attraction in movie theatres (and adopted for TV, computer gaming and even mobile phones), WolfVision wanted to explore the potential for professional visualizer applications in 3D, whether in science and education, product design and engineering, medical and telemedicine, or videoconferencing/telepresence.

The WolfVision cameras generate high quality stereo images which are then converted to 3D format in realtime. Produced in cooperation with JVC, the image is viewed onscreen using circular 3D polarizing glasses.

The new 3D concept allows participants to see material on the screen as if they were standing directly in font of it. This is a great benefit in situations where in-depth training needs to be delivered from a remote location, because when material is displayed with a greater degree of realism, it facilitates a deeper level of understanding.

At InfoComm, Wolfvision also showed a special model for No. America and Asia. The WolfVision VZ-3 Visualizer features a new design concept-- the camera, light system, and electronic hardware are integrated into the visualizer arm. This new visualizer features a 1-CCD camera with 30 frames per second and sRGB color precision.
